Bei den nachfolgenden Texten handelt es sich um Originalzitate aus der englischen Originalfassung des Films. Bei der „Übertragung“ sind einige Wortlücken entstanden. Schließe sie mit den passenden englischen Begriffen.

Mary’s Mother: “Dear Mary, this is the hardest letter I have ever had to write. I am so proud of you Mary. You fought to take part in that race, and maybe a bit of that rubbed off on me. I now too, have to fight. I have to fight for my own happiness. I have to do it now before it is too late. Otherwise I will only be the shadow of the person that I could be. I hope you can forgive me. Until we are together again: Look after your dad. Don’t blame him. Love him. Do your schoolwork. Feed the chickens. And remember you are Mary Kensey, our beautiful daughter. Always your Mary’s Mother.”
